Sithembile, CM(SA), MCOM, DBA candidate, is a highly accomplished marketing and communications executive with more than 25 years of experience in brand strategy, global positioning, integrated marketing, and reputation management. Her career spans both the public and private sectors, including significant experience within multinational FMCG organizations such as Pioneer Foods, Tiger Brands and Unilever, where she developed deep expertise in consumer insight, brand building, and market expansion across diverse and competitive environments. She has worked for Brand South Africa, in various posts where she was the General Manager: Marketing and has previously held leadership roles including Acting Chief Executive Officer where she led the organization to achieve 3 consecutive clean audits and also acted as a Chief Marketing Officer. During her tenure at Brand South Africa, Sithembile played a key role in advancing South Africa’s nation brand identity, strategy and global reputation. Championing impactful domestic programs that have shaped Brand South Africa's stature amongst its stakeholders. She has represented the organization on prominent global platforms such as the World Economic Forum and BRICS. In addition to her executive leadership experience, Sithembile contributes to global marketing thought leadership as an advisory board member of the CMO Council Sub-Saharan Africa chapter and City Nation Place (UK), a leading global platform focused on place branding and destination marketing.
